Lil Yachty’s Beef With Hip Hop and His Controversial Gay Album Cover

Lil Yachty hit the hip-hop scene, a couple of summers ago, and known for his record singles “One Night” and “Minnesota”. Last year, Big Baby D.R.A.M and Lil Yachty owned the airwaves with the hit song,”Broccoli”. With this rising fame, Lil Yachty has also created some beef with many veteran rappers in the music industry claiming that Lil Yachty music is not hip-hop and leans more towards pop.  He had a twitter beef with Rapper Joe Budden, earlier this year because Budden said Lil Yachty was ruining Hip-Hop and even called him “the troll” in Hip-Hop.

Early this year, Lil Yachty released his new album cover that many, especially those in the Hip Hop community, would critique as controversial. In April of this year, Lil Yachty released, ‘Teenage Emotions”. The Album cover shows teenagers, doing teenager things, a young diverse crowd of movie goers including a young gay couple sharing a kiss.

Louisiana Rapper, Boosie Badazz went in giving his take on Lil Yachty album cover, saying Lil Yachty was doing nothing more than exploiting the gay agenda because of the Album Cover. Boosie Badazz has openly stated he feels media is pushing a gay agenda onto children, but he also says he does not have a problem with gay people.

If you look beyond what Boosie Badazz calls the “Gay Agenda”, and look beyond the two gay teens, you may be able to understand a “Socially acceptable society” approach he may be wanting to take. In today’s society, what is considered “abnormal” really isn’t. Lil Yachty album cover features a range of different people that are unique and diverse.

The album cover, Teenage Emotions, is showing the non-normal and it takes an open mind to fully digest the message. What you don’t see in the mainstream Hollywood, exist in the real world, whether people like it or not. Not the fake boobs or photoshopped pictures to look as perfect as possible.

Our world is not perfect, nor normal. On Lil Yachty front cover you see a black female with vitiligo that is smiling and loving herself no matter her flaws or disorder.

There is also an albino teenager and from the looks of it MAYBE a gay male with the red flannel shirt on in the front. Furthermore, he has a girl with green hair which is definitely out the box and an overweight female teen which is looked down upon.

Of course, Lil Yachty is not the norm himself with his blinged out teeth, plats with colorful red beads and crazy creative style. The fact is teenagers, come in all different sizes, shapes, characteristics, personalities, emotions, etc., and yes some teens are gay. That’s not the gay agenda, that’s life.
